How to Better Manage Menopause?

What is Menopause?

Menopause is a naturally occurring phenomenon which happens to all women beyond a certain age, at some point in their lives. Menopause is not an affection or a diseases, but a natural lowering of the female hormone levels with aging.

While people grow older, their bodies start to produce less and less hormones because it cannot physically do so anymore. Men produce less and less testosterone while they age, and women produce less and less estrogen, the female hormone.

While men are not affected to the same degree because of their lower testosterone levels, women start to feel the levels of estrogen lowering because a number of symptoms can affect them. The symptoms linked to lowering levels of estrogen make up pre-menopause and menopause.

All women reach this stage after a certain age, typically over 45, but menopause can come earlier or later, depending on each individual woman and their hormone structure. Women who have very high levels of estrogen throughout life will typically reach menopause at a later age, over 50. While other women with already low levels of estrogen may reach menopause before they turn 40.

Although the exact time when menopause will set it cannot be determined, women can be prepared in advance. Until now, the traditional methods of easing the symptoms of menopause was to treat women with hormone therapy. This type of therapy is used to boost hormone levels, specifically estrogen levels, in women who have reached menopause.

More often than not, these treatment bring with them a series of side effects and health concerns that far outweigh the benefits. Hormone treatments can harm women's health and are not indicated as a long-term solution.

Now, all women can benefit from a no-risk, and highly efficient menopause treatment, with a fraction of the cost of hormone therapy, and none of the risks. We are talking about the Profemin, a supplement specifically designed to help women with the symptoms of pre-menopause and menopause.
